linear algebra

i learned linear algebra in high school and was done unspeakably dirty by poor teaching. the class was fun and educational, but most lin alg courses don’t teach very cool–and increasingly relevant–applications in machine learning and optimization (factoring gymnastics + spectral methods). i did more proofs in uni, but still don’t great intuition or applied understanding. i’m currently in the process of reviewing the subject!

notes

linear algebra done right, axler: “done right” is pretty accurate; coming back to this after abstract algebra and realizing oops maybe you should have read this book for your first linear course instead

(link to come) linear algebra and learning from data, strang: the ultimate chad linear book

(link to come) spectral graph theory, spielman: also a chad book

(not even worth taking notes on) linear algebra, friedberg, insel, spence: it was fine? but why would you ever use this when there are way better books out there? i was cheated
